Demon in my house

This book is more than a chilling ghost story, it is about the bond between two young women across the span of time and boundaries of death. I enjoyed it very much. This talented author is a force to be reckoned with. Can't wait to read the next one.

So when I was in elementary school, I lived in a house at 114 Outrigger Dr in Kill Devil Hills, NC. It was a really nice house, and my family was the my first owner of it. I had a friend named Brandy that lived across the canal from us. Her parents were into some form of the occult. They invited my family over to discuss some of their beliefs with us, and my parents, being Christians politely declined. That night, I went to bed as usual. I fell asleep as usual. But some time in the middle of the night I awoke in a fright. I looked up in the corner of my room and saw (don't laugh, seriously) the face of a demon looking down at me. (Seriously.... don't laugh) The demon's face resembled a more sinister Gremlin, only it was bright neon pinks, oranges, and greens (and no, it wasn't a phosphene). I was seriously freaked out. It just kept staring at me. So I gathered my blanket (Voltron) and my pillow, and went downstairs. It followed me. Once I got to the couch, I laid down, and began praying for God to take it away.
Eventually, it went away, and I fell asleep on the couch. But I was scared poopless that night.

Wow, sounds frightening. I can imagine how that has stayed tucked in your memory for so long. Being so young to experience such a thing.

Thank you for posting.
